Rug and Textile Appreciation Mornings:
Luxurious Quilts from Nineteenth-Century America

Saturday, August 25
10:30 a.m.
George Washington University Textile Museum

Three of our treasured quilts will be traveling to the George Washington University Textile Museum on August 25, when our curator Elizabeth Lay will present the program Luxurious Quilts from Nineteenth-Century America for one of the Textile Museum’s Rug and Textile Appreciation Mornings

It will be a great opportunity to share our quilts with those outside Montgomery County, and highlight our exceptional collection. Her talk will feature the Clarksburg Quilt and the history of its rare chintz fabric, the Woodbourne Quilt and the original line drawings created for the stitched designs, and finally one of our richly embroidered Crazy Quilts.

Tickets are available through the Textile Museum.
