Thank you to all who attended the Retro Rock ‘n’ Roll Bash! Please send us your pictures from the evening! A photo gallery is coming soon.

Put on your dancing shoes and get ready for a night of ‘50s fun! To kickoff our upcoming exhibit, BOOM: The 1950s in Montgomery County and year of dynamic programs, Montgomery History is throwing a bash to remember!

Saturday, September 23
6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Beall-Dawson Museum

Step into the decade of cocktail parties, pink flamingos, Hot Shoppes, and juke boxes! Sip on favorite cocktails of the era provided by McClintock Distilling, get a sneak preview of the BOOM exhibit, and throw on a leather jacket or letter sweater for a photo opp in our very own recreated Hot Shoppes restaurant booth.

And what ‘50s party would be complete without an appearance from ELVIS? The King himself will be there with his band to keep you dancing all night long, with a dance instructor to show you some new (or old!) moves.

Be there or be square!

Please contact Program Manager Amy Baker at abaker@montgomeryhistory.org if you have any questions.

A special thanks to our bar sponsor, McClintok DistillingSugarplum Tent Company for providing our tent for the evening, and Stein Sperling and Timmons, Edwards & Co for providing parking for the bash.

Thank you to O’Donnells Market, Not Your Average Joe’s, Vie de France Rockville, CAVA, Zoe’s Kitchen, Brooklyn’s Deli, Harris Teeter, and Giant Food for donating food to this event!
