Coffee with the Curator – Jesse Hayden Tall Case Clock

September 18
9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
Beall-Dawson Museum

Don’t miss your chance to enjoy Coffee with the Curator, the new benefit at the Rock Creek membership level!

Join Montgomery History’s own Elizabeth Lay, curator and decorative arts historian, on Tuesday, September 18 at 9:00 a.m. in the Beall-Dawson Museum when she will share the most recent findings on our exquisite Jesse Hayden tall case clock.

Considered an important Maryland clock, its story illuminates the magnificent household of Upton Beall and the Beall family of early 19th century Rockville.

Join her as she examines the interior of the case panels, removes the bonnet, and discusses the history and period craftsmanship of the clock, and other early 19th-century furniture in our collection.

Coffee with the Curator is a new benefit for all Rock Creek, Patuxent, and Potomac members of Montgomery History.
