On March 4, 2017, over 270 middle and high school students came together at Richard Montgomery High School to participate in Montgomery County History Day. Each year, Montgomery History collaborates with Montgomery County Public Schools to coordinate this meaningful learning experience. History Day gives students an opportunity to conduct original research on a topic of their choice according to the annual theme, which was Taking a Stand in History. They presented their research in one of five formats: paper, exhibit, documentary, performance, or website, and then had an opportunity to explain their work to a team of judges and receive feedback. Students impressed judges with their thoughtful and insightful projects. For a complete list of winners, see here.
