Daily Life in the Growing County
Pre-K to 1st Grade Program
In the classroom, students explore what daily life was like during the 19th century with a costumed interpreter. This hands-on program has students making an old-fashioned toy, grinding coffee and seeing historical clothing.

 

TIME COMMITMENT: Program lasts ½ hour.
COST: $3 per student.

Get on Board:
The Underground Railroad in Montgomery County
5th & 6th Grade Program
This outreach kit uses primary sources to help teach the story of slavery and the Underground Railroad in Montgomery County. Kit contains copies of runaway slave notices, newspaper articles from the 19th century, runaway slave accounts, maps and a Teachers Guide.

 

RENTAL PERIOD: 3 weeks includes pick-up & drop-off.
COST: Rental is $15 with a $25 refundable deposit.
