Jerusalem-Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church is celebrating its 190th Anniversary this year. Established in 1835, it is the oldest African American church in Rockville. Through church splits and mergers and multiple name changes it has served as a place of worship and supported other community needs. Join Ms. Sorrels as she takes you through the long and inspiring history of this landmark institution.
