Montgomery History is honored to name its first dedicated oral history studio in honor of pioneering journalist Connie Chung. The fundraising campaign for the Connie Chung Oral History Studio, chaired by Lily Qi and Aryani Ong, will help expand Montgomery History’s thriving oral history program. Chung attended Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring and the University of Maryland in College Park. She was not only the first woman to co-anchor the CBS Evening News, but she was also the first Asian to anchor any network news program. “I am honored and flattered to be part of this great tribute to Montgomery County,” said Chung.
